Product information "Lauricidin - Monolaurin"
Contents:
Lauricidin® Original Monolaurin 227g incl. blue measuring spoon
Ingredients: pure sn-1 monolaurin (glycerol monolaurate), obtained from coconut oil, in the form of mini pellets (size and shape of the pellets may vary)
What is Lauricidin?
Lauricidin® consists of pure sn-1 monolaurin (glycerol monolaurate). This natural, vegetable, medium-chain fat is obtained from the lauric acid of coconut oil. Normal coconut oil contains triglycerides of lauric acid, which are inactive. This is because coconut oil does not contain the enzyme that the body needs to break down coconut oil into the monoesters of lauric acid. Lauricidin® is a derivative of the long-chain 12-carbon fatty acid from coconut oil that is processed into monolaurin. This is the same monolaurin that is found in breast milk. When an infant is born, it relies on the nutritional factors in breast milk to protect its immune system. Lauricidin is well accepted by both the immune system and the digestive tract. Monolaurin has unique health-promoting properties.
Suggested Usage of Lauricidin
Correct Intake:
Simply put the contents of the measuring spoon in your mouth and wash down with cool water or juice at mealtimes.
Start with small amounts of Lauricidin® until you have reached your recommended intake level. This may mean starting with 1 single pellet three times a day up to 1/4 scoop three times a day before working up to 1 scoop three times a day for adults. Lauricidin® should be taken daily for a minimum of three months in the recommended amount to effectively support the immune system and general well-being. Lauricidin® is intended for long-term use and not for short-term treatment of an illness.
Recommended Dosage:
Lauricidin® is bioactive. The exact amount you need for optimum health depends on your diet and your genetic predisposition. We recommend that you have your doctor or therapist carefully test your individual dosage. The usual starting dose of Lauricidin® is gradually increased to three times a day for one or two weeks. The dose can then be increased further. The maintenance dose depends on the observed effects and is adjusted accordingly. If the initial dose is too high, undesirable detoxification reactions may occur.

- Adults and children aged 12 and over: Take with or after meals. The minipellets can be placed in the mouth and swallowed with water or juice. Do not take with hot liquids. Do not chew or take as a powder. Intake should be increased slowly to acclimatise the body and avoid unwanted detoxification reactions:
- Starting Dose: 1/4 blue measuring spoon (~0,75 Gramm) or less, 2 or 3 times a day for a week, until the dose is increased.
- This amount can then be increased to 1.5 grams (1/2 blue measuring spoon) 1x, 2x or 3x daily.
- Maintenance amount: 3 g (1 blue measuring spoon) 2 or 3 times a day. In special cases, this amount can also be increased, but should not exceed 12 scoops per day.
- The duration of taking the supplement varies from person to person. Supplements must be taken continuously for better health - similar to vitamins.
- Children
(aged 3 to 11): Children from the age of three can start
with just 1-5 pellets and slowly increase their intake. For very young
children, it is best to start with 1-3 pellets/day for several days
before gradually increasing the amount.
- Do not chew pellets. Take with meals. The mini-pellets can be put in the mouth and swallowed with water or juice. Do not take with hot liquids.
- In difficult situations, try adding the pellets (whole or powdered) to applesauce, pudding, peanut butter, etc.
